Dell Studio 1558 Reviewed: Great Keyboard, Long Battery Life

This week, we spent some quality time with the Dell Studio 1558, an affordable (read: $849) multimedia machine. In fact, we perhaps spent too much time with it: while writing our review, our primary desktop computer briefly went out of commission, and we were forced to do all of our work on this 15.6-inch laptop.

Learn Morehard drive were powerful enough to keep up with all of our usual website-hopping and multitasking. More importantly, the keyboard is one of the most comfortable we’ve tested in some time; in fact, we broke our own typing typing record, pounding out 94 words per minute. And if we needed to, we could have unplugged the machine for a long time, taken it across the office, and wouldn’t have had to worry about plugging it back in.
